I just had a brilliant idea. At least I thought so. Here’s the premise…
All around the world, people should dig a hole.
In the ground.
Outside.
But wait - there’s more!
People would then take a picture of their hole and write a description of how they intend to use the hole to make the world a better place. Other people would suggest ideas of uses for the hole you dug. Feature stories would be written on famous, unusual , or just plain unexplainable holes in the ground.
What may seem like just one big waste of time would actually be a social experiment to get people out from behind their computers and experience the world outside their office walls…for a purpose as basic as digging a hole.
The plan was set. The wheels were in motion. I decided to register the domain, but the name I had chosen was taken and I was thoroughly crushed.
digahole.com is already the home of Sta-Moistâ„¢ Water Absorbing Polymers.
The good news is that my garden has never looked better.
UPDATE: I couldn’t help myself. I just registered www.digahole.org. For some strange reason I actually want to make this happen.

i think i will ask my dad if I can dig a hole in his front yard. you never know maybe he’ll what to dig a hole of his own… what better way to bond with your dad.
