Sounds like Sam Raimi sees life after Spider-Man as a possible return to the shocking world of horror films. A recent article in Canada’s National Post has a good interview with the director:
Q: Any chance of another Evil Dead?
A: I would definitely like to make another Evil Dead film with Bruce [Campbell] one day. I don’t know when, but I would. I love working with Bruce.Q: Ah, the simpler times. Do you feel overshadowed by the Spider-Man franchise?
A: That will pass. I still see myself as Mister Low Budget Shlockmeister Horror Filmmaker.Q: Really?
A: Sure. I’d always thought it was strange the studio hired me to do Spider-Man. I wanted it, but I thought it was a bold choice. This is a very strange experience, and I know it won’t be here long.
